Our House Women's Shelter provides a safe place to go when in a domestic violence situation. It also has some homeless beds available. The case manager assists the family it getting housing and employment while there.

Polk County Housing Authority is low income based housing. The case manager provides the following for residents:
- after school tutoring
- outings for children
- family self sufficient skills such as: job skills, transportation, cost for GED testing,etc.
- transporting families to the Goodwill Career Center to assist with resumes, dress for success, etc.

The Boys and Girls Club offers after school for children in need of supervision from 2:30 pm-6:00 pm. It provides a snack and help with homework. The club also has summer programs for children. The club provides transportation from the schools to the club after school.

Food assistance is available each Tuesday. An application is required before receiving assistance. Applications can be submitted on Tuesdays only 10am - 12:30pm and 5pm-6:30pm. In order to complete an application you must be at least 18 years old and bring the following items with you:
